Up-and-Coming NFT Games to Watch

Ever since the introduction of non-fungible tokens(NFTs), they have shown time and again that they have the potential of changing the gaming world. The emergence of NFTs promises a new and exciting order where players take up even more critical roles in the gaming economy and receive befitting rewards in the process.Today, this gaming paradigm has begun to take shape as game developers are increasingly adopting blockchain technology to give their games an even more immersive experience. In this guide, we will give you a rundown of some of the top NFT games available today. However, before diving into our list of the best NFT games, let first discuss the rudimentary of an NFT-based game.

An NFT game combines conventional gaming designs with unconventional game mechanisms to let users have more control over in-game assets like skins, characters, weapons, virtual lands and much more. This is made possible by launching games on blockchains and anchoring them with digital asset-powered economies. These digital assets are often NFTs so that they are distinguishable and tamper-proof. The adoption of NFT token standards also allows developers to preserve the rarity and uniqueness of some of these in-game items. This is why some blockchain game assets are considered more expensive than others.

With this system in place, the players can claim ownership of game assets through 3 main strategies. They could create or breed new characters, purchase digital items on native or third-party marketplaces, or unlock and earn new items. Whichever way you choose to access these game assets, you have exclusive ownership rights over them. In essence, you can distribute or sell them and pocket all the money made from such trades. This is why this gaming model is called play-to-earn.

How Does the Play-to-Earn Model Benefit Gamers?

Virtual economies existing in gaming universes are not unheard of — popular massively multiplayer online role-playing games (MMORPG) like RuneScape and World of Warcraft have players in the millions. Furthermore, many games claiming to be free-to-play are running on a 'freemium' model; gamers have to splash certain amount of money, on top of time and effort, to accelerate their rise through the ranks or obtain rare in-game items. While these in-game items may be worth a tidy sum, the true ownership does not lie with the gamer, but with the game developers.

While gaming companies should be rightly compensated for developing entertaining titles, gamers also bring value by spending time and actively participating in the in-game economy. The play-to-earn model could be seen as a way to synergize both parties so that all are rewarded for the value they bring. On one hand, gaming companies can develop a more vibrant in-game economy. On the other hand, gamers get to own their in-game assets and be rewarded for their time spent.

Can You Make Money Playing NFT Games?

Yes — while you've probably heard of the news of people in Philippines earning a reasonable wage playing Axie Infinity, the cost to start playing the most popular play-to-earn game — Axie Infinity — has reached at least a few hundreds dollars. As of Oct. 27, 2021, the cost of the cheapest Axie you can find on the marketplace is $93; users need three Axies to start playing. To start earning, you would have to recover your upfront cost, which could take anywhere from 50 to 80 days, before earning between $8 to $40 depending on their Axies.

Are There Free NFT Games?

While some of the games mentioned below — such as Gods Unchained and Splinterlands — are free-to-play, most require you to spend a certain amount to purchase a starter pack or progress further. Those not willing to fork out the upfront capital will be glad to know that there are initiatives such as Axie scholarships: sponsors loan three Axies to "scholars" and engage in a profit sharing scheme, which could see players earning around 50%-70% of the total profits.

What Are the Top NFT Games?

Like all emerging and established sectors, certain platforms have positioned themselves as the main highlight of the NFT gaming world. These games are at the forefront of the current NFT craze because they have successfully integrated NFTs with popular game themes. As such, players get to play some of their favorite game genres and at the same time engage with a profitable NFT market. Without further ado, here are some of the games that fall within this category.

Axie Infinity

Axie Infinity borrows heavily from the Pokemon game series and adds its own blockchain twist to give the finished product an even more exciting feel. In this Ethereum-based game, players breed and collect NFT-based digital pets called Axies for the core purpose of battling other players. Each individual Axies has its own genetic imprint. Therefore, the weaknesses and strengths of Axies are passed down to their offspring. As expected, these digital pets are tradeable on Ethereum NFT marketplaces, and the price of each depends on their rareness and unique traits. To start playing the game, you have to purchase 3 Axies. For each quest, player-versus-player (PVP) battle, and adventure mode you scale, you receive Smooth Love Potion (SLP) – the platform’s native ERC-20utility token – as a reward. For every attempt to breed a new Axie, you must pay a specific amount of SLPs, which you can also purchase at exchanges. Another ERC20 token native to Axie Infinity is Axis Infinity Shard (AXS), which functions as the platform’s governance token. It will also anchor the game’s staking service scheduled to go live at some point in 2021.Learn more in our deep dive on Axie Infinity.

Gods Unchained

Gods Unchained is a free-to-play game designed to infuse elements of NFT into a familiar card trading gaming genre. Players accumulate cards by purchasing them from other players or winning PVP matchups where the quality of cards and the gaming skill of players often determine the winner. Notably, more emphasis is being placed on skills and strategy. This is because the game utilizes a ranked game mode where players with the same ratings are matched.

You win matches when your gameplay causes your opponent’s life to drop to zero before yours. For every win, you receive experience points. As soon as the experience bar is filled up, you will move to the next rating or level and receive a new pack of cards to add to your collection.

Note that each card is backed by an ERC-721token. Therefore, you can trade them on the platform’s native marketplace or the open market. Those opting to sell cards within the game ecosystem will receive the platform’s native token, GODS, as payment. It is worth noting that the GODS token has not been officially launched at the time of writing this guide. Be sure to confirm that the development team has released GODS tokens to the crypto market before proceeding to purchase or receive any token marketed as GODS tokens.Learn more in our deep dive on Gods Unchained.

Splinterlands

Splinterlands is a free-to-play tradable card game that lets users earn as they play, similar to Gods Unchained. You earn rewards when you win card matchups. To start playing Splinterlands, you first have to buy a starter pack of cards, register a Steem account and unveil the purchased cards on Splinterlands. In some cases, you may be lucky enough to find rare cards among your first set of purchased cards. Also, you could find multiples of the same type of card. If this is the case, you can combine identical cards to boost their power or sell one of them in return for cryptocurrencies.

Once you familiarize yourself with the cards, you can proceed to battle other players or participate in quests. The outcome of these activities would determine if you will earn more cards or not.

The Sandbox 3D

The Sandbox is a voxel-based gaming metaverse and one of the most active NFT gaming platforms where players can build and trade virtual assets. In this game, players can manipulate and monetize voxel assets. Think of it as the blockchain iteration of popular gaming titles like Minecraft and Roblox. The platforms offer the tools to create and animate objects and subsequently sell them on marketplaces. Additionally, users can create and play custom games on the platform.Sandbox 3Dhas introduced SAND, an ERC-20 token, as the native token of the metaverse. With this, players can purchase in-game items on the platform’s marketplace. There is also LAND, which are NFT tokens and by far some of the most valuable and sought after assets in the Sandbox game. A record of $8.5 million in LAND sales was concluded in April alone.

Alien Worlds

Alien Worlds is an NFT Defi metaverse that simulates economic competition and collaboration between players in a bid to explore other planets. This is achieved by incentivizing players to compete for Trilium (TLM), which is required to control competing decentralised autonomous organisations (Planet DAOs) and to gain access to additional gameplay.

In the Alien Worlds metaverse, players can acquire NFTs to mine TLM, engage in battles and complete in-game quests. Depending on their strategy, players may purchase and assemble NFTs that best suit their gameplay. Additionally, players may engage in governance by electing the Councillors of six Planet DAOs, and thereby influence the direction of the game.

Battle Racers

As its name implies, Battle Racers is inspired by popular titles like Super Mario Kart and F-Zero. The whole idea is to combine different weapons and parts in order to create the most powerful cars. Players get to mix different parts and weapons that will give them some sort of advantage on the arcade-sized tracks. You can register your winning or prized cars on the blockchain as NFTs and subsequently sell them for crypto on OpenSea.

Each player looks to create the ultimate car by favoring different skills and stats. You could choose handling over speed or defense over firepower, all in the hopes of emerging victorious in tournaments. This game is currently playable on Decentraland, which in itself is a blockchain-based virtual world. More information about the game can be found here.

Sorare — Fantasy Football

Sorare is a fantasy football trading card game on the Ethereum blockchain. Players collect or buy trading cards to compete in weekly competitions, and stand a chance to unlock rare cards or win Eth. As of end-October 2021, Sorare has over 200 clubs officially licensed on their platform — including renowned names like Real Madrid, Liverpool, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich — with more added each week.

Cards are of four categories: commons, rare, super-rare and unique. The game is free-to-play and players are given a deck of random common cards when they complete certain onboarding tasks. However, to progress up the division leagues and win prizes, players will have to buy rare cards on the marketplace in Ether, at the very least.

From their deck of cards, players assemble a five-player team, select your captain and enter their team into weekly competitions. Based on the performances of the players in real life football matches, it will determine the number of points the team gets. Players own the NFT cards they have collected and can sell them to other players on NFT marketplaces.

Three Up-and-Coming NFT Games to Watch

Guild of Guardians

Guild of Guardians is a fantasy-themed role-playing game where the familiar model of building a team of heroes, completing quests in dungeons and earning resources is played out. As with other games, collecting resources allows in-game items to be crafted, which could be turned for a profit. However, Guild of Guardians, as the name suggests, focuses heavily on building communities – or guilds in this case. Guardians team up to compete against in-game challenges, and in return they get to earn Gem – the native currency of the game.

Furthermore, the game developers want the game to be play-to-earn – but not at the expense of other players. There is no PVP gameplay in Guild of Guardians; players compete against monsters in dungeons, hence users do not need to spend money to beat other players.

The game is currently in development. The founder NFTs are currently on sale and a soft launch is scheduled for Q2 2022. With many large backers behind them, it would be an interesting one to watch. Learn more in our deep dive on Guild of Guardians.

Gold Fever

Gold Fever is a jungle-themed role-playing game where players choose a character and try to outplay other players for a chance of mining gold in the form of the game’s native token, NGL. Players also go about collecting limited NFT-based items like clothes, weapons and other supplies. Similar to the workings of most NFT games, Gold Fever tries to enable blockchain-initiated scarcity for its in-game assets. You can pick any of the main characters of the game and play your part in the formation of a fiercely contested gold economy.

Note that the in-app game items are tradable on marketplaces. Therefore, you can earn by earning NGL and exchanging it for fiat or cryptocurrencies on exchanges or trading collectibles on NFT marketplaces.

Learn more about Gold Fever here.

Neon District

Neon District is a role-playing game (RPG) that allows users to collect characters, gears and crafts. Like all the games highlighted in this guide, the in-game items and characters featured on Neon District are NFTs. As such, the in-game items found on Neon District are essentially digital collectibles backed on the blockchain. You have the right to monetize your participation by selling earned or purchased in-game assets to other players.

The goal is to build a team and compete against other players in missions or real-time combats. One multiplayer competitive game mode, called Neon Pizza, in particular, pitches players against each other for the chance of earning the platform’s native token – Neon, gears, parts and so on. All you need to do is send your characters on pizza delivery runs to feed hungry citizens. You can also take up a more villainous strategy by ambushing the pizza delivery team of other players and stealing their earnings.

The earnings, which are denominated in Neon, can be used to purchase characters, weapons, parts, armors, juice and other in-game items required to upgrade characters.

Other Popular NFT Games

From our list, you will notice that NFT crypto games adopt popular gaming genres, albeit in combination with blockchain elements, particularly ideal for establishing rarity and uniqueness. As such, NFT games are not all that difficult to play. They are also enjoyable and highly rewarding, as in the case of Axie Infinity, where some players are able to earn a decent income.

Another popular implementation of NFTs is in sports. NFTs go beyond sports memorabilia to engage with millions of fans worldwide, giving them a say in their favorite sports teams. Read more about in our ultimate guide to NFT sports platforms.

Play-to-earn Games on Android and iOS

With global smartphone penetration rate estimated to be around 78% in 2020, many free-to-play games have found great success reaching users on their mobile devices. It comes as no surprise that 43% of all smartphone usageare related to gaming. This trend is even more prevalent in developing countries like the Philippines, where many Axie Infinity players are able to play on their Android phones or tablets. Play-to-earn games developers in the GameFiindustry are aware, and have made games interoperable on multiple devices. Check out our guide of the top crypto games on Android and iOS devices.

NFT Metaverse and Tokens set to Explode in 2022

Introduction to the Metaverse

So you are new to all this Metaverse economy and you are having trouble understanding what's going on. You want to start investing some time and maybe even money on it, but you are not sure where to start... Well, you are in luck, this post is for you!  In the last two years, we've been involved in many Metaverse projects, building and generating value across different platforms.

In this article we'll dig into Blockchain Metaverse projects, the ones we know and what you should consider before starting your journey. There are many different Metaverse projects out there, but today we'll compare the best known in the space on different points, so you can have enough information before digging further on them.  Before starting you must understand the Metaverse as a concept.
NONE of these projects alone are the Metaverse, even if they say so on their marketing efforts.
They are LAYERS of the Metaverse, and all of them combined are the Metaverse.
In easy terms to understand, Facebook is not the internet, but a part of it. Same applies here.

The Metaverse Projects, A Brief Description

Decentraland
The oldest one in the space.

It is a single Metaverse layer divided evenly into a grid. Every single coordinate is called LAND.
All the LAND is the same size and has the same limitations. Users can combine their colliding LAND into Estates. Users can create districts to coordinate themselves and this one function as separated entities/companies. There is a limited supply of LAND and there is no way to create more unless the community proposes it through the Decentraland DAO.

CryptoVoxels
Minecraft-like inspired project.

It is a single Metaverse layer divided unevenly in different plots and islands.
There is a main island called Origin City that has a limited supply of parcels.
Their team is always generating new islands and parcels as a way to fund the project.
Every plot has a different size and limitations.

The world was open on July/2018

Somnium Space
High end devices focused project.

It is a single Metaverse layer divided unevenly in different plots along an already generated map with some islands too. Every plot has different size and limitations. The team is releasing new land once in a while.

The world was open on 20/02/2020

The project also has a new proposal for owning whole Metaverse layers, called Somnium Worlds.
But there is little information about this yet.

The SandBox
Evolution of a previously very successful non-blockchain project into a new paradigm.
Also with Voxel art.

It is a single Metaverse layer divided evenly into a grid. All the land is the same size and is pretty big, users can combine their plots into estates to generate bigger places. There is a limited supply of land there is still a big part of it not released to the market.

The world is still in private beta, aiming to launch in Q1 2021

How Is The Experience?

When we talk about Metaverse layers we're talking about content being deployed on the same "world" meaning that in theory you could be able to "walk" from one point to another without any loading screen, so when you join the place, you can see your parcel and everything built around it even if this content is built by another person.

This is the case of Decentraland, CryptoVoxels and Somnium Space,
they all got a seamlessly walking experience.

As opposed to the other projects, Sandbox encapsulates their land experiences into separated scenes and when you walk from one parcel to another, there will be a loading screen.

How Can I Access The World?

Decentraland
They have their erc20 token called Decentraland MANA ($MANA)
Probably the strongest coin of all the platforms and listed on the most well known exchanges.

1 MANA ≃ $0.116

Their LAND economy is also pretty hot, the lowest prized LAND on OpenSea right now costs
8,000 MANA ≃ $924.3

This project also has wearables made by their team and community,
you can also buy and sell names on Decentraland.
Decentraland Desktop Website: https://decentraland.org/

Decentraland project started with Esteban Ordano and Ari Merlich, both very experienced folks on blockchain and high end technology and did a very successful job creating and pushing the idea. Now the project is managed by the Decentraland Foundation, a new entity that is focused on listening to the community needs. Most of the team is in Argentina.

CryptoVoxels
They don't have any coin anymore.
It has a very small wearable economy, but unfortunately generating new tokens it's been closed down due Ethereum gas fees many times, making it very difficult to generate a stable revenue for creators.
Cheapest parcel on Opensea: 1 ETH ≃ $1,236.61
CryptoVoxels
Desktop, Mobile Website and VR: https://www.cryptovoxels.com/
Same experience in any device.
CryptoVoxels
By the one and only Ben Nolan. This solo entrepreneur from New Zealand started off the project from scratch and now has a team helping him to generate his vision. They are very active listeners on their Discord and Twitter.

Somnium Space
They have an erc20 token called Somnium Space CUBEs ($CUBE)

1 CUBE ≃ $0.3

But their team has made claims that they want it to become a stable coin.
Cheapest parcel on Opensea: 0.68 ETH ≃ $839.5
The project has also created their own virtual reality avatar market, only usable on Somnium client version. They also have released a world token. But they haven't released much info on this yet.
Somnium Space
Full version: Desktop Client and High end device VR headset.
Reduced version: Desktop Web and Quest.
https://somniumspace.com/
Somnium Space
Funded by the serial entrepreneur Artur Sychov, the project started with a very successful indiegogo campaign back in the day. Based in the beautiful city of Prague, right in the heart of Europe.

The Sandbox
They have an erc20 token called SAND ($SAND)

1 SAND ≃ $ 0.05

Cheapest parcel on OpenSea: 0.1 ETH ≃ $122.7

Any item created and uploaded to SandBox will be automatically an NFT, so expect a huge boom of NFT trading from this project once is released.

How Does The Future Looks Like For These Platforms?
The following statements are made in Jan of 2021 and are based on how all these platforms have evolved along 2019-2020. This might shift as their communities become bigger and evolve.
The Sandbox project was initially started in 2012 on mobile platforms which to date have gathered more than 40 million global installs on mobile devices. Their 100-people strong team behind has over 15 years of experience making games.
Over the past 3 years, The Sandbox team has been developing a new version of the game – this time as a 3D, multiplayer platform using blockchain technology (Ethereum) to offer a virtual world where players can build, own, and monetize their gaming experiences. This is the version we are comparing today.

What Can I Do On These Platforms TODAY?

From afar all these projects look very, very similar, but they are actually not, they all have different communities with various mindsets.

Decentraland
This project has made a huge effort into building collaborations and partnerships with top blockchain and crypto projects around the world, there are many virtual headquarters built in there already and more to come in the following months.

Events and networking is what is driving Decentraland adoption.
You can keep up to date with their events on the website.

The platform has also a lot of cryptoart galleries and a few games to enjoy.
But be aware that most of the place is still empty.

CryptoVoxels
If you want to get inspired quickly, you MUST visit CryptoVoxels.
In 2020, CryptoArtists from all around the world have taken over this platform generating mind blowing content. The world is filled with art galleries and the community is super active. This project has the best boarding experience on Crypto-Metaverse so far.

There are many art and business related events in the world, but there isn't a centralized way to find them, you must follow each micro community individually.

Somnium Space
The main selling point of the project is its beautiful image rendering.
If you own a high end VR device, Somnium is for you.

The community is small but cozy, very active and welcoming on their Discord.
They also got an event page to keep track of all the events.
Art galleries and private land is the content you'll find there.

The Sandbox
The project is unreleased yet. But I can give you a glimpse of what you'll find.
Games, games and more games.

Their team is making a great effort to build a game platform along with many creators. With their background on the industry and how they communicate, I expect SandBox will become a great gaming platform. They are using Arkane Network, which makes on boarding for blockchain newbies very easy.

What About Building Things?

Alright. So you want to have something built in your new virtual domains, these are the things you need to take into account.

Decentraland
This platform has 2 ways of building.

The Builder: This online tool allows users to place and allocate 3D models in the parcel and then deploy. What you can do with it is very limited.

The SDK: Tool developed for professional teams to generate interactive content in the game. Probably very complex for starters, but very good if you want to have something very unique on your parcel. We've made different games and experiences with it. Developing with DCL SDK is still a very niche thing and takes A LOT of time, so be prepared to hire a professional team.

CryptoVoxels
The easiest and most friendliest of them all, just join CV and start placing things in your land while playing. You can find many artists willing to take building commissions and they'll create amazing stuff by pushing limitations to the next level. The great downside right now is that you can't create any complex behavior on CV, so no games.

Somnium Space
There is a Somnium Builder that works very well, it is very similar to the Sims building creator tool and it allows you to make your own place out of already generated assets. There is a Unity SDK in the works for Somnium, but no release date yet.

The Sandbox
This project has developed 2 different tools for content creators:

VoxEdit: that allows to create game items and characters.

Game Maker: This tool will take the assets generated on VoxEdit and place them in world, also adding interaction and complex behavior for them. No code required.

Since the platform is not released, it is still hard to find people to develop in your SandBox Land.

Decentraland
Networking platform. Hopefully a decentralized virtual Silicon Valley of the future. Many big blockchain companies and influencers are setting their virtual business Head Quarters in there using districts as a catalyst. Unless LAND prices go down, the investment needed to buy a plot and then to develop content for it, is really high. This kind of budget makes sense for a B2B environment.

CryptoVoxels
Micro house-blogging platform. Pretty much like your 3D house blog. The team sets the prices based on FIAT in order to attract more BUILDERS. Many companies and influencers have a plot in CV too, but most of the plots are built by artist showcasing their art. It is amazing to see all the islands getting built these days.

Somnium Space
Virtual Beverly Hills neighbour for early blockchain enthusiasts and celebrities. Somnium parcel prices have skyrocketed in the last year. The community is small BUT very active and very well connected. The world looks like a green field, that can remind you of The Sims.

The Sandbox
Blockchain based Minecraft competitor. Is very difficult to imagine how this project will evolve without seen it released yet. But based on the previous SandBox game and the team background, we can already see this project being the only one fully focused on game development.

Best gambling affiliate programs

19 Best Gambling Affiliate Programs 2021

In 2019 the global online gambling market size was valued at over 53 billion US dollars. As you can see from the graph below, the growth rate is expected to be over 11% a year until 2027 (and probably beyond).

This has been driven in no small part by the explosion of the digital world including more accessible platforms on mobile and app. Furthermore, societal changes and views on gambling, as well as lessening government control across the globe has boosted growth.

There has never been a better time to become a gambling affiliate. Especially with the increased accessibility for content creators to promote brands.

There is an ever growing demand for new gambling content, which gives content creators the opportunity to grow their business. Platforms like YouTube and Twitch now have dedicated pages for gambling slots and poker

Whether you’re a digital content creator, reviewer or just wanting to understand more about the best gambling affiliate programs then welcome. There are going to be some terms in this article that we go into more detail about in other articles. If you’re not sure about the difference between direct and network, or how you get paid, or you just want to know some of the terms used here, then feel free to come back to this article afterwards.

We’ve discussed before that the ‘best’ gambling affiliate programs may mean different things to different people. I’m going to highlight the key areas you’ll want to look out for when deciding what the best gambling affiliate program is (in no particular order):

1. Network vs Direct

We’ve written a whole article on the difference between networks and direct clients before so I’ll try and summarise. Essentially, any company that offers an affiliate program has a decision to make. They can either run the program themselves or hire an external company (network). There are hundreds of different affiliate networks across the world but the main ones are Awin, CJ Affiliate and Rakuten.

The reason it’s important is that you’ll receive different benefits depending on which path you choose. If you decide to go directly to the client (if that’s even possible) then you’ll often get a more tailored and personal experience. When I was starting out as an affiliate I ran with Football Index and my account manager would send me the latest display formats before they became public. This was a great way to stay ahead of the other forex affiliates.

In contrast, you may feel like you’re a small cog in the machine if you join a network. Though don’t think for one second you’re not going to receive good service. Some of the best affiliate networks like Awin have fantastic customer service and up to date user software to help you track conversions. The biggest benefit is that you can choose from a wide range of brands so if one of them fails or isn’t performing very well no problem, just switch to another.

2. Revenue Share vs Cost per Acquisition

At the risk of repeating myself we have already written an article on the difference between revenue share and CPA. In short (promise) revenue share is when you share a percentage of the money spent by the affiliate/s you sign up to the program. This is over the lifetime of the account as well so it could be a very lucrative option if you sign up a lot of people or hook yourself a whale. I spoke with one of the account teams within a popular gambling affiliate network and he was saying that one of their affiliates players had spent over £50k that month alone and he was on a 15% revenue share model- bully for him! The only downside is if you want cash straight away then you don’t want to be waiting around for your players to spend money which they might never do.

If this is you then CPA is your best bet. This means you’ll receive a flat fee for every new player you sign up. typically the price increases the more clients you bring on and it could be a large lump sum in some cases ($200). Gambling brands unfortunately don’t often offer CPA.

3. Cookie Lifespan

What’s the point of getting all those clicks if it’s not being tracked? That’s where the cookie comes in and why cookie lifespan is so important. You don’t need to know the technical stuff behind a cookie, just remember this quote:

The longer the cookie, the better

-The Affiliate Monkey

Now let’s look at the best 19 gambling affiliate programs.

Betfair

NetworkDirect
CPAYes (unknown)
Revenue Share30%
Cookie Lifespan45 days
Monthly BonusesNo

Betfair online offers the largest betting exchange in the world, this basically means users can act as bookies as well as betters. They also offer online casino, poker, bingo and sportsbook. Within Betfair partnerships you’ll have access to 95 brands and a good selection of formats:

120×600/125×125/160×600/300×250/300×600/320×50/468×60/728×90

They offer CPA, Revenue share and a hybrid model within their affiliate program, though we’re not sure what the CPA rates are (as it changes account to account), feel free to leave your CPA in the comments below!

They pay their affiliates via Bank (wire) Transfer, Skrill and Neteller and payments are made when you have at least £50 in your account.

888

CategoriesCasino, Bingo, Sport, Games
NetworkDirect, Awin (888 casino) & Gambling Affiliation (888 Poker Online)
CPAYes – Between $65-$100
Revenue Share80%
Cookie Lifespan15 days
Monthly BonusesPossibly direct

888 is one of the world’s most recognised gambling brands. They offer casino, bingo, sports and games. They offer one of the industries only CPA programs and it’s quite generous depending on which company you choose.

You have three options, 888 direct, where you’ll receive a $65 CPA and a revenue share model of up to 40%. If you pick Gambling Affiliation, then you’ll get a higher CPA of $135, but no revenue share. Lastly, there’s Awin, who are a fantastic network but only offer £50 CPA and no revenue share. Our advice is to go direct, even though the 888 affiliate website feels very old.

Furthermore, you’ll have access to 22 other brands when you go direct. We asked them if they offer bonuses as well and they said:

It’s not something we do with every single affiliate, but it’s something we could definitely consider in case the affiliate really deserves it and bring us good traffic

They also offer a hybrid model as well so you can choose a weighting between CPA and revenue share. The only downside is that their cookie lifespan is 15 days which is low for the industry.

Don’t rule out Gambling Affiliation though, we asked them the same question and they had this to say:

What we can have is special promotion done by given operators who want to push their results with our affiliates (for ex. 500 EUR for all affiliates generating over 20 FDT during a given month)

Betway

CategoriesCasino, Bingo, Sport, Games
NetworkDirect
CPAMaybe – speak to your account manager
Revenue Share20% (up to 40%)
Cookie LifespanSession based
Monthly BonusesPossibly (speak to account manager)

Betway is another world leading gambling brands that operates its affiliate program in seven countries. The brand offers sportsbook, casino, bingo and e-sports.

The pros of the Betway gambling affiliate program are that they run their own affiliate program (more personal experience) and offer a competitive revenue share model, which starts at 20% but goes up to 40% if you bring on more that 101 clients a month. We also reached out and asked them about monthly bonuses and they had this to say:

“yes we do create exclusive promotions for affiliates sometimes but it varies on the market/affiliate so I can not really go into more detail as it’s case by case”

If you get accepted then definitely reach out and find out. It would be great to hear in the comments if you were able to secure a special bonus structure. We’re not sure if they have a CPA structure in place as they don’t advertise for it so it’s worth speaking to your account manager when you sign up

The downside of the Betway gambling affiliate program is that you only have access to one brand (Betway) so there is no opportunity to switch to a new campaign if this one isn’t going well for you. Furthermore, their cookies are all sessions based. This means that you’ll only get the referral if the user signs up in the same session that they clicked the advert. This is a major flaw and in direct contrast to the rest of the gambling affiliate programs who offer 30 to 45 day cookie windows.

Paddypower is an Irish bookmaker owned by Flutter Entertainment PLC (one of the world’s top ten largest gambling corporations). They operate hundreds of betting shops in Ireland and the UK and also have a successful online platform that provides sportsbook, bingo and fantasy (whatever that is).

They operate their own affiliate program called Paddypower Partners. It offers affiliates up to 45% revenue share for the following products:

20% and 30% for poker

25% for the sportsbook

35% for bingo

Between 25% and 45% for games

It doesn’t look like they offer a CPA option, but maybe speak to your account manager when you sign up as these gambling brands are often happy to negotiate. Their bank options for payment methods are bank wire transfer (not including money transfer services/applications), Neteller and Skrill.

Just like Betway, their cookies are session based (yuck!)- if it wasn’t for the strong brand affinity in the UK then this would be one to avoid.

William Hill is a beloved UK gambling provider that sits within the FTSE 250. They also run their online services in Spain and Italy. They offer Sportsbook, Gaming, Bingo and Casino.

They run their own affiliate program and offer a tiered system depending on what part of the business you are promoting:

30% – Sports, Casino, Vegas, Games;

15% – Bingo, Poker, Live Casino (and all others)

They have a 72 hour cookie lifespan which is certainly better than session based but still falls well below industry standard. Their creative builds come in Javascript, iFrame and HTML5, so there are plenty of options for promotion.

We’re not sure if they offer a CPA program so you will need to ask your account manager. We can say that they pay affiliates within 30 days so long as you have $55 in your account (for Ecopayz, Skrill, PayPal, Netelle) or £200/€200 for bank wire transfers.

Another British gambling company (we seem to love gambling). They offer sportsbook, casino, bingo and e-games. They strike a great balance for their revenue share at 30% which will be great for beginners but is also competitive if you grow your account base. If you’re looking for the highest revenue share affiliate programs though, look elsewhere.

To be eligible for payouts you have to have at least £50 in your affiliate account and they pay via- bank wire transfer, check, or your personal Bet356 account (we definitely wouldn’t recommend this). You must have a minimum of 5 active referred Customers before you will be eligible for referral commission payment

Not much more to say about bet365 They have a popular brand, especially in the UK and offer a 45 day cookie lifespan. Unfortunately they don’t offer CPA which would have been nice to see.

You will definitely have heard of pokerstars. They are the world’s foremost promoter of poker and run the largest online poker site. They have numerous poker competitions and events throughout the year.

They run their own affiliate program through the Stars Affiliate Club and offer a tiered revenue share based on the number of players you bring on:

We also asked them about CPA and they had this to say:

‘If you wish to receive CPA commission, we will agree this with you prior to our acceptance of your Application Form and include it in the acceptance confirmation that we send to you’

Not only are they a globally recognised brand, they also offer 21 formats for you to choose from to promote their games. They may even offer a hybrid account but you’ll need to square thet with your account manager. Their other brands include; Pokerstars Casino, Pokerstars Sports, Sky Bet and Full Tilt.

Betsson is a Sweedish gambling company that operates in 15 countries. They are one of Europe’s largest gamblong brands and run their own affiliate programs as well as 15 other brands including Betsafe and Nordic Bet.

They offer a tiered revenue share model which rewards you based on the amount of money your clients spend, so it’s not about the number of clients you bring on:

Whilst they don’t offer a CPA model, they have a massive creative portfolio of 198 (and counting) formats in HTML and GIF format.

If you haven’t heard of Mr Green you’re not alone, they’re the smallest gambling company featured in this list and only operate in the UK. Furthermore, it’s one of the news gambling companies, having only been formed in late 2007.

They run their affiliate program through Mr Affiliate (which is their brand) We thought they were worth mentioning because they have a descent revenue share which pays you based on the number of monthly clients:

45% is one of the highest we’ve seen in the industry, especially as you only have to sign up 30+ new players. You need to have at least €100 euros in your account before you can withdraw.

Titan poker has been around since 2005 and is still one of the top online poker brands however, numbers seem to be on the decline. The company leaves its gambling affiliate program to Europartners who also operate 7 other brands across Europe.

They offer an incredible 50% revenue share to their affiliates for the first three months which is the best revenue share model we could find in the gambling affiliate landscape. Annoyingly, they also charge a ‘processing fee’ of 4% on all players’ deposits and withdrawals, and will be deducted from the calculations of your revenue commission. After the initial 3 months, the commission drops to a tiered system depending on how many affiliates you bring on.

Unibet is another European sportsbook site that also operates in over 100 different countries. They currently have over 11 million customers.

The affiliate program used to be called Unibet affiliates until it changed to Kindred Affiliates which overlooks the gambling affiliate program for all of the brands withing the group. They offer a tiered revenue share model depending on how the value of your contributing players (like Betsson):

Your account has to reach €100 euros before you can withdraw and they’ll pay you via bank transfer. In the T&C’s it says that they do have an option to pay on a different type of Reward Plan, (including but not limited to Cost Per Acquisition, ‘CPA’), but you have to agree to a special deal with them, so speak to your account manager.

Entain Partners

Here come the big guns- Entain are the 2nd largest gambling company in the world, and own several brands which you will definitely have heard of. They had a rebranding last year, changing from GVC to Entain. Honestly, we’re indifferent about the name change but whatever. Here’s the lists of gambling affiliate programs that fall under their massive wing.

Firstly, there are a few that exclusively run through Entain, and our worth mentioning, though we won’t go into too much detail because the affiliate conditions, payouts and cookie lifespans are all the same.  These brands are:

We reached out to Entain about CPA deals and this is what they had to say:

We don’t offer CPA deals default. We set such deals for the proven traffic depending on the quality and quantity of the traffic

If you show commitment with them and continued revenue streams, they may consider it.

Ok, so Sporting Bet still run their own affiliate program, though they are still owned by Entain, so don’t be surprised if that changes in the next few years.

They offer a flat revenue share model of 25% for each affiliate you bring on. This is an average starting revenue share, but pales in comparison to what other companies are offering if you start bringing on more clients. This is only for casino as well, for sportsbook it’s worse, at just 10%.

If you live in the UK you would have heard of Coral. They are one of the UK’s leading high street gambling brands. They are most well know for their sportsbook offering but their online site now offers a wide range of games and casino offerings.

All of the companies that fall under Entain directly offer the same revenue share model which increases as you bring on more clients:

They have this to say about CPA plans:

“CPA Plans are available on request. Contact your Account Manager for more details. RMPs referred through the CPA Plan will not count for purposes of calculating your revenue under the Revenue Share Plan”

You need to have £100 in your account before you can withdraw funds, if not the’ll roll it over to the next month.

Bwin

Bwin also run their affiliate program through Gamblin Affiliation (just their sportsbook though). You’ll receive a much higher earning potential if you sign up with Entain though as GA only offers 25% revenue share. Entertain offers up to 35%. The tier is as follows:
